Care Ministry at Faith emphasizes the connection between mind, body and spirit. Those relationships bind us together in wholeness. Here are some of the ways Care Ministry finds expression at Faith:
~ Pastoral Care Team provides a non-anxious listening and caring presence for members, their friends, family and the larger community. Members of the team have attended a course of instruction, recognized by the ELCA, in developing skills to provide support at times of hospitalization, extended illness, life transition and crisis. The support from this team is an extension of the care that all members of Faith provide to fellow members and the community.
All members of the Body of Christ are called to love one another as Christ loves us (John 13:34-35), and to bear one another's burden (Galatians 6:2). Team members provide a caring and supportive listening presence in a confidential and non-judgmental manner.
To request a visit from a Pastoral Care Team member, additional information on the scope of pastoral care provided or inquires on becoming a part of this team, please contact the church office, 630-469-2361.
