FAQs

PAYMENTS & wAITLIST
Once someone registers, they will shortly receive an email with a link to pay the participation fee online. Once that payment is received, the participant is officially registered - you will get an email confirming this.

If you are put on the waitlist, you will receive notification after you complete the registration form. Here's what to expect if your child is on the waitlist:
  1. If a spot becomes available, we’ll contact you via email or phone. You’ll need to respond within 24 hours. If we don’t hear back, we can no longer guarantee your spot and we’ll move on to the next person on the waitlist.
  2. We try to fill open spots as soon as they become available, but last minute cancellations do happen, so please be aware of the 24 hours response time.
  3. Once you accept an open spot, the registration fee will become due.
cANCELATIONS & REFUNDS
If your child is not able to attend VBS, please let us know as soon as possible so then we can open the spot to someone else. However, there will be no refunds for canceling.

gENERAL
What should my child wear?
  • Participants should come dressed for the weather!
  • Children should also come in clothes they are comfortable moving in
  • Close-toed, close-backed shoes are highly recommended
  • We'll be outside! Please put sunscreen on your child before coming to VBS

What do I need to bring to VBS?
  • Water bottle
  • Nut-free snack (this is VERY important - we have a preschool in the building who needs to follow this guideline)
  • For those who are in 3rd grade and up, please bring a Bible - if  you don't have a Bible let us know

How do you handle heat issues?
We have water available at all times. We also carefully monitor the heat index. If it is 100 degrees Fahrenheit or above, we bring all campers indoors.

For non-emergencies and emergencies, please call the Church office at 630-469-2361.
mEDICAL
My child needs to take medication during camp hours. Are you equipped to administer this necessity?
Yes!  Our Congregation Coordinator will help with medications. Medications, including over the counter drugs and epi-pens, must be designated on the child’s registration form. Kayla will reach out to you with any questions in regards to the medicine needed.

What do I do if my child is sick?
In order to provide a safe, healthy environment for all, we ask you to keep your camper home if they show any signs of illness, such as a runny nose, persistent cough, fever, vomit, diarrhea etc., until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.

How will I be notified if my child gets sick at camp?
If your child gets sick at camp, our team will contact you using the information provided upon registration
sPECIAL BEHAVIOR & HEALTH NEEDS
If your child has special needs, please let us know in the registration form. We will them follow up with you to see what extra accommodations may be needed to help your child have a great week! We want to partner with you on this so any insight would be very helpful.
