Since 2023, members of our congregation, staff and Green Team have been working hard on a solar energy project for our 65 year old building. With the help of a Faith in Place, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping faith communities care for the environment and be leaders in advancing environmental justice, our Green Team researched and secured federal and state tax credits and rebates, and their dedication followed through months of detailed planning. Design and installation of the system was done by Straight Up Solar. The 187-panel solar array will provide power to our facility for 20-30 years! Our solar panels are a sign of Faith Lutheran’s commitment to care for God’s Creation, to use energy wisely and to seek a sustainable future for all God’s children.
