Ministry Story ~ New Village Garden

     The New Village Garden is a project funded by Faith Lutheran Church and Wheatridge Minsitries. The garden is cared for and tended by a variety of immigrant communities in Glen Ellyn. They work together to plan for the crops, water, weed and harvest. The harvest is shared among the gardeners to supplement their diet with fresh vegetables and the additional abundance is given to the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry. Over 800 pounds of organically grown produce was harvested and shared.
